Our Team
Coderpie is proud to have a team of highly qualified instructors who bring a wealth of experience and expertise to our educational programs. Each instructor either holds or is pursuing a bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field, ensuring they possess a strong foundation in the theoretical and practical aspects of coding and robotics. Each instructor has passed a background check.
Our instructors have extensive experience in programming, with proficiency in languages such as Python, Java, C++, and other relevant technologies used in both educational and professional settings. Their backgrounds vary, including software development, system architecture, robotics automation, and academic research, providing a rich tapestry of knowledge and real-world applications to share with our students.
In addition to their technical qualifications, our instructors are passionate educators committed to fostering a supportive and engaging learning environment. They have a proven track record of inspiring young learners, guiding them through complex concepts with patience and clarity. Their teaching methodology emphasizes hands-on learning, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, enabling students to apply their knowledge in practical, real-world scenarios.

Meet Our Instructors
Instructor
Jeffrey
Jeffrey is a rising senior-year Computer Science major student at the University of Maryland, College Park (UMD). At UMD, Jeffrey has showcased his skills by programming microcontrollers for the university's student-run underwater robotics competition team. His multifaceted role extended to designing an engaging introductory curriculum and guiding new team members in programming remote-control boats. Jeffrey’s extensive knowledge spreads across various domains of computer science, with particular interests in computer networks, functional programming, and compilers. His hands-on experience also spans across several essential languages and technologies, including Python, Java, HTML/CSS/JavaScript, Linux, and Bash. This diverse skill set ensures that he brings both depth and breadth of knowledge to his teaching.

Leo
​Leo is a rising sophomore studying Computer Science at the University of Maryland, College Park. Leo was the president of his high school computer club, and brings a solid foundation in computer science and passion for technology to students. Proficient in Java and Python, Leo is well-equipped to lead students through simple and complex applications of programming. He is also a member of Robotics at Maryland, a student-run robotics organization at the University of Maryland, and with three years of experience, Leo is ready to bring students beyond the screen into the tangible world of robotic creations, from CAD to arduino programming. Leo likes to play tennis and hang out with his friends in his free time, and he has recently started rock climbing.
Robotics Coach
Ryan
Ryan is an Information Systems student at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, Maryland. He has been an active robotics mentor, coach, and volunteer in the FIRST Robotics community for over 5 years. He has been presented with several awards in robotics and robotics education, including the Spirit of FIRST Award, the FIRST Lego League Coach and Mentor Award, and the Youth Mentor of the Year Award for the state of Maryland. Outside of robotics, he serves as a suborbital space researcher, mathematics instructor, and 3D printing enthusiast.
